I'm Nicolas Boda, independent industrial designer behind bod design studio.
My mission is to help companies transform ideas into products, working across industrial design, product development, and visual communication to create objects that are intuitive, manufacturable and build to last.
I like not staying specialized in one design area. Trained at the Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique, in France, I studied industrial design in its entirety and completed a Master's degree in industrial design and IoT-connected products.
My professional experience since has brought me enough variety to feel confident in my industrial knowledge and work methodology, letting me cross specialities, always bringing a fresh eye and new perspective with a problem-solving mindset.
Experience
Years spent working with design agencies across Europe have shaped the way I approach product development today.
Each experience brought different industries, processes and perspectives, building a practice that balances creativity with industrial reality.

Working together
Large consultancies offer resources. Independent designers offer proximity.
Integrating quickly into an existing team, adapting to shifting priorities, and never simply executing: challenging assumptions and bringing a fresh perspective is part of the job. Because good products rarely come from one expertise alone, that also means working alongside engineering, R&D, manufacturing and marketing to connect technical requirements with human needs, turning ideas, prototypes and production into one coherent experience.

In practice, this is how it looks like:
01
Understanding the ecosystem before drawing solutions.
02
Working as part of your team, not beside it.
03
Hands-on sketches, CAD, prototypes and manufacturing support.
04
Balancing innovation with industrial reality.
